Minister and Staff

Minister: The Rev. Robin Palmer received a B.A. with Honors, in 1991 from Samford University, AL. She went on to earn a Master of Divinity in 1996 from Columbia Theological Seminary, GA. Robin is married to the Rev. David Palmer. They have two daughters.

Director of Music Ministries and Choir Director: Jamie Clay received a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, a Master of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in music from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Jamie is currently teaching piano, voice, clarinet,sax and flute at Colors.

Organist: Laurie Porter studied organ at the University of Montevallo where she received a minor in music with a primary concentration in organ and a secondary concentration in flute. She began her career in music while she was in middle and high school here in Huntsville, AL, serving as accompanist of her school choirs and as organist of Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Handbell Choir Director: Martie Heaton has been ringing handbells since she was in elementary school. She started teaching and directing in the early 80’s, and has been directing handbells and handchimes at GPC for more than 10 years. Her education background is in Interior Design in which she is still involved. She has one grown daughter, Kate, who is a member of Grace.

Administrative Assistant: Wendy Colley received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Richmond and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from the University of Florida. Wendy is married to Dr. Wes Colley, who often serves on the Session at Grace. They have one daughter and one son.
