Minister and Staff
Minister: The Rev. Robin Palmer received a B.A. with Honors, in 1991 from Samford University, AL. She went on to earn a Master of Divinity in 1996 from Columbia Theological Seminary, GA. Currently she is working towards a Doctorate of Ministry from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, KY. Robin is married to the Rev. David Palmer of First Presbyterian Church Athens, AL. They have two daughters.
Director of Music Ministries: Laurie Porter studied organ at the University of Montevallo where she received a minor in music with a primary concentration in organ and a secondary concentration in flute. As Organist and Director of Music Ministry at Grace Presbyterian Church, Laurie coordinates, directs, or accompanies various children's, youth and adult choral, handbell, and instrumental ensemble groups. She began her career in music while she was in middle and high school here in Huntsville, AL, serving as accompanist of her school choirs and as organist of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She enjoys teaching music as a volunteer in the elementary school where her youngest of three sons attends and currently teaches AP Chemistry at Catholic High School.
Choir Director: Jamie Clay received a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, a Master of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in music from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Jamie is coordinator of Academic Advising at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Church Secretary: Kathy Offutt, resident of Madison since 1994, member of Faith Presbyterian Church, worked at Intergraph as a senior software analyst, homemaker and mother of 3 daughters since 1988, has been secretary at Grace since 2001, enjoys baking cakes and gardening.
