You’ve heard the saying Make Lemonade Out of Lemons. On Saturday, March 2, at Grace Presbyterian Church in the Fellowship Hall, the women of the church will explore this saying and upcycling (taking something old and repurposing it). This half-day retreat starts at 11:00 a.m. and will be filled with laughter, fellowship, and great food. You will even have the opportunity to attend a body balance class and/or gentle yoga class (think sitting in a chair) beforehand. The retreat team has a PDF fillable registration form downloadable here, and there will also be forms in the Narthex. The cost for the event is $10 and includes lunch and all your supplies except for a pen, a pair of labeled scissors, and an old adult size solid color T-shirt.
Valerie McLaughlin will collect registration forms and money. You can send the on-line form to one of her email addresses (firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com). Our goal is to give you a day to relax among good friends. There is talk of a chance to learn to crochet, a chance to just sit and talk, and maybe work a puzzle. Who knows what we might come up with for that time? If you have any suggestions, let the retreat team know. They will be sending out more information over the next few weeks. Please consider inviting your friends. The final day to register is Sunday, February 24.
